BHOLA: A total of nine villages in Char Fassion upazila of the district were brought under rural electrification network yesterday, reports BSS. Deputy Minister for Environment and Forest Abdullah Al Islam Jacob inaugurated the power supply programmes arranged at Vashan Char, Nazimuddin and Hazirganj villages.
The minister said, “The government is relentlessly working to supply power line to every house of the country as our aim is development.”
Upazila Chairman Joynal Abedin, Municipality Mayor Badol Krishna Debnath, General Secretary of upazila Awami League Nazrul Islam and DGM of district Palli Bidduth Samity Rokonuddin were present at the programme, among others.
The villages which were brought under rural electrification network are Shoshivushon, Char Kaschop, Vashan Char, Char Madras, Char Nazimuddin, Hajariganj, Omrabaj, Bashirdon and Bhuuter Khaya.A 14-kilometre-long electric line was installed at the upazila at a cost of Taka 1 crore and 68 lakh to supply electricity to the villages.
