Mash to receive ABP award in Kolkata

Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will miss head coach Chandika Hathurusingha’s first day with the team after his arrival from the long holiday following Bangladesh’s ICC Champions Trophy mission.

The ODI skipper will be honoured with one of the most prestigious award of Kolkata 'Sera Bangali' 2017. Mashrafe will get the award in sports category. It was confirmed on last Sunday. In this annual event, the ABP group honours celebrated Bengali personalities across the border, for their notable contribution in different sectors of life.

Mashrafe will be the third Bangladeshi cricketer to receive this award after Habibul Bashar in 2007 and Shakib Al Hasan in 2012. The award will be handed over on July 29.
