2 RU teachers, 8 students get Dean’s Awards

Two teachers and eight students of the Rajshahi University (RU) under science faculty received ‘Dean’s Award-2017’ for their outstanding contribution to research arena, a press release said signed by RU Public Relation Officer Prof Mosiur Rahman yesterday.

The awardees are: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology dept teacher Prof Khaled Hasan  and Population and Human Resources Development dept teacher Associate Prof Dr Ismail Hossain and eight students are: Tamanna Tasnim Prova of Mathematics dept, Saifur Rahman of Physics, Kawsar Hossain of Chemistry,  Shamima Khatun of Statistics,  Tasnim Jahan of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology dept, Anika Nusrat of Pharmacy, Toli Rani Dev of Population and Human Resources Development dept and Moniruzzaman of Applied Mathematics dept.

RU vice-chancellor Prof M Absus Sobhan and pro vice-chancellor Prof Ananda Kumar Saha handed over the award to them at an award giving ceremony in the seminar room of the science faculty yesterday.

Science faculty dean Prof. Akthar Farok presided over the programme while Population and Human Resources Development dept Associate Prof Asraful Islam Khan gave the welcome speech and Chemistry dpet Prof Dr Lombini conducted it.
