Ethnic costume and catwalk

It was simply a visual feast of bright colours and exquisite patterns. On July 15, the 2017 Colourful Yunnan Ethnic Costume Cultural Festival finals concluded in central Yunnan’s Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture. During the two-day event, 653 contestants from 16 prefectures or prefectural cities formed 26 teams who each took to the catwalk. Some 800 types of gorgeous ethnic costumes showcased Yunnan’s brilliant ethnic culture and were major highlights of the festival.
