4 ‘robbers’ held

Detective Branch (DB) of police in a drive arrested four suspected robbers along with country made gun and drugs in Dewanganj upazila of Jamalpur district on Monday.

  The arrestees were Md Abdul Karim, 48, of village Dakatiar Char, Md Shahidul Islam, 42, of village Bhatiapara and Md Insab Ali, 27, of village Bhatiapara in Fulchhari upazila of Gaibandha and Md Al Amin, 30, of village Gayerdoba in Dewanganj upazila of Jamalpur.

Police sources said on information, a team of police raided Katharbeel area in the upazila and arrested the robbers. Police recovered a pipe gun, 20 bullets, 100 gram heroin and 750 pieces of yaba tablets from their possesion.
