Md Nazrul Islam, a retired senior journalist of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), died of a massive heart attack at 11:30 pm Monday night at Mak Hospital and Private LTD in Chittagong,family sources said. He was 71.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, one son and a large number of relative and well-wishers to mourn his death.
The third namaj-e-janaza of Md Nazrul Islam, a retired senior journalist of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), was held at the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) in Dhaka yesterday.
Prime Minister's Media Affairs Adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, former information minister Barrister Nazmul Huda and a large number of journalists joined the namaj-e-janaza.
Later, the JPC and journalist unions paid homage to late journalist Nazrul Islam by placing wreaths on his coffin.
