A team of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) reached Benapole checkpost yesterday to take part in a 10-day long border control management training program with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), reports UNB.
They entered Bangladesh at the Benapole checkpost after coming through the Petrapole checkpost on the Indian side around 11am.
Lieutenant Colonel Ariful Haque, captain of Jessore BGB -49 and Major Jasim Uddin, second-in-command of Kushtia BGB-58 welcomed them to Bangladesh with flowers.
A team of 26 members including 10 officers of BSF led by Deputy Commander Sanjay Kumar Borm will take part in a 10-day border control management training program with BGB at the Baitul Izzat Border Guard Training Centre in Chittagong.
Abdul Wahab, commander of Benapole Integrated Check Posts (ICP) said the BSF team came to Bangladesh for take part a more developed training program for ensuring border security.
