Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan yesterday said highest-level security measures will be applied on the occasion of National Mourning Day on 15th August, reports UNB. “Overall security measures for 15th August. There will be several layers of security at Bangabandhu’s house in Dhanmondi-32 and Tungipara (ancestral home of Bangabandhu where he is buried),” said the home minister, following an inter-ministerial meeting on law and order at his ministry's conference room.
“Adequate security forces will be deployed at programmes marking the Mourning Day all over the country,” he added.
Mentioning that members of law enforcement agencies and different intelligence agencies are on alert, the minister said there have been no threats specific to 15th August. Every measure would be taken to avoid any untoward incident on the day, the minister said.
