Three days after Barisal Bulls owner MA Awal Bhulu made derogative comments about Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim, Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) came up with a statement of demanding a punitive action against the franchise owner.
The CWAB thanked the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) governing council for vowing to take a stern action against Bhulu.
“One of the owners of the Barisal Bulls made an insulting comment against the national Test captain which is very unfortunate given the owner himself is an honourable director of Bangladesh Cricket Board,” the CWAB statement said.
“CWAB is protesting such statement from the director vehemently.”
“The good thing is that the BPL governing council has already protested and gave a word to take action against him. CWAB thereby thanked them.”
CWAB also expected that the people related to the cricket showed good behaviour towards the cricketers.
