Farashganj Sporting Club saw a huge punishment for refused to play after 13 minutes in their match Manyavar Bangladesh Premier Football League match against Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra on August 3.
Following reports from match commissioner and the referee of that match, the disciplinary committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) punished Farashganj according to the disciplinary code 52.2, 20.3.4, 52.1 and 20.3.6.
The Old Dhaka outfits were suspended from the next year’s and the their rest of the matches of this year of the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier Football League and was also fined Taka 5,00,000 and asked to refund the financial grant they received form BFF of Taka 13,00,000.
The disciplinary committee asked them to pay all the money by September 4, 2015.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Russell was declared as 3-0 winners of that match while the teams of rest of three matches of the Manyavar were also declared 3-0 winners against Farashganj.
The disciplinary committee also issued show cause notice to chairman of the Farashganj Club’s football committee Selim Khan and joint convenor Gazi Sarwar Babu to explain why action will not be taken against them.
