Health Minister Mohammad Nasim yesterday requested the visiting Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena to recruit more Bangladeshi medical professionals for his country's health sector, reports BSS.
The minister made the request as he paid a courtesy call on Sirisena at his hotel suite here this afternoon.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues, including exchange of experiences in primary health sector between the two countries.
"Sri Lanka has achieved tremendous success in primary health sector especially for combating Malaria and Dengu fever. So, we have expressed our eagerness to exchange of experience in this regard," he told the reporters emerging from the meeting.
