Eleven bus passengers were injured in a road accident in Shantirhat area on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway under Patiya upazila of Chittagong yesterday, reports BSS.
Police said the accident occurred in the area at about 8 am when a Cox's Bazar bound Saudia passenger bus fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving 11 passengers injured.
Locals and police rescued the wounded people and sent them to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital.
Amir Hossain, Nayek of CMCH police outpost, said the condition of two bus passengers is stated to be critical.
