BCIC to import 4 lakh ton urea from Qatar

Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) signed an agreement with Muntajat, Qatar on Monday for importing two lakh MT granular urea and two lakh MT of prilled urea, says a press release.
Mohammad Iqbal on behalf of chairman of BCIC, and Chief Of Executive of Muntajat Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Abdullah signed the agreement.
Urea stock will be sufficient against the country demand for the year 2015- 2016 and proper distribute will be possible by the agreement, the statement added.
A six-member delegation, headed by Industry Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, is now visiting Qatar and the agreement was singed in his presence.
