SYLHET: The authorities of MC College in Sylhet have asked the students to vacate their dormitories by 6pm on Thursday, reports UNB.
The decision came following a clash between two factions of ruling party's student wing Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
Earlier in the day, the supporters of Titu-Dimon and Hossain-Delwar had been at loggerheads over establishing supremacy in the college.
As a sequel, both groups attacked each other at the college hostel. A scuffle took place among them on Thursday morning near the campus. During the clash, the activists of BCL also vandalised the windowpanes and doors of 8 to 10 rooms of the hostel. Akter Hossain, officer-in-charge of Shah Paran Police Station, said additional police have been deployed on the campus.
