Like every year Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) tournament committee this time prepared a calendar for the new season of 2017-2018.
According to the new calendar, the upcoming season will open with National Cricket League (NCL) and ends with Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL). And National Cricket Championship will be held in between NCL and BCL.
This time the bulk of the national pool players will miss the league because while the league will get underway, the national team will be touring South Africa for a full-fledged tour.
They will play two Tests as many as T20Is along with three-match one-day international series against the Proteas in September-October. BCB Tournament Committee chairman Saiful Alam Chowdhury confirmed the news of the new season’s calendar to The Independent on Tuesday.
“We are expected to organize National Cricket League (NCL) in the last week of September. And National Cricket Championship will be played in November which followed Bangladesh Cricket League in January,” said Saiful Alam.
“The calendar has been prepared in this way and all the tournaments will roll onto the grounds as per the calendar,” Chowdhury said in Mirpur.
