A show titled ‘Sharmila Tagore-Jeet Gannguli Live In Dhaka’ is going to be held at the Bashundhara International Convention Centre in the capital on July 15. To perform in this show, two-time National Film Awards and two-time Filmfare Awards winning celebrated Indian film actress Sharmila Tagore and Indian music composer and singer of Bengali and Hindi movies, Jeet Gannguli are coming to Bangladesh. The show will be anchored by Debashish Biswas and Swagata—this news has been confirmed by Ananya Ruma, who is the organiser of the event and also the chief executive officer of Channel Live Entertainment.

Debashish Biswas said about anchoring the show, “I am a fan of Bollywood actor Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore acted in numerous films opposite him. Besides, she is the granddaughter of Rabindranath Tagore. She also played in the film made in Bengali language. All these things make me feel Sharmila Tagore is one of us. This favourite person will keep sitting in front me and I will speak about her—I am feeling very happy to think about it. I am immensely grateful to the organisers. At the same time, I am preparing myself for the show.”

Swagata said, “I am grateful to Ananya Ruma who has involved me with this programme. Truly speaking, I am feeling very nervous as I have to anchor the show in front of such a legendary heroine (Sharmila Tagore). This is also a challenging matter for me. I have seen countless films of Sharmila Tagore from my childhood. Now I will meet her face to face, the opportunity gives me immense pleasure.”

Ananya Ruma informed that alongside Sharmila Tagore and Jeet Gannguli, Bangladeshi artistes Tareen, Nipun, Chandi and Nadia will perform dance at the programme.

The gate will open at 4pm for the concert.
