SAFETI, CODEC sign partnership agreement

US Department of Agriculture (USDA) funded Safe Aqua Farming for Economic and Trade Improvement (SAFETI) project of Winrock International signed a partnership agreement with CODEC recently.

SAFETI project is working in southern region of Bangladesh with the objective to increase shrimp and prawn production. They also have a target to enhance domestic exports and increasing income of supply chain participants particularly farmers.  

CODEC as an implementing partner will help to mobilise the field activities such as organising farmers for trainings and provide appropriate lending for shrimp and prawn farming, the statement added.
