Four activists of Rajshahi University (RU) unit Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were sued yesterday at Motihar police station for their alleged involvement in vandalising a bus.
Md Manik Hossain, a supervisor of Desh Travel`s (Transport Company), filed the case against four leaders and 8-10 unnamed activists of BCL, RU unit alleging vandalized the bus. Confirming the news, Humayun Kabir, Officer in Charge (OC) of Motihar Thana said, “BCL RU unit Mahmudur Rahman Kanon, secretary for information and research affairs, Saiful Islam Bijoy, secretary of legal affairs, Vice-president Ahmed Sajib and organising secretary Abid Ahsan Labon and 8 to 10 other unknown activists have been sued over the incident.”
The leaders and activists of Chhatra League also beat up the helper, supervisor, and driver of the bus.
