Missing man found dead in Gopalganj

Gopalganj: Police recovered a body of an elderly man from a paddy field at Dighilia Kalibari village in Kotalipara upazia on Tuesday noon, three days after he went missing, reports UNB.

M Kamrul Faruque, officer-in-charge of Kotalipara police station, said, Azgar Ali Sheikh, 65, son of Sonamuddin Sheikh of the village, went missing on Sunday after he went out from his home.

Locals spotted the body in a paddy field nearby his home and informed police on Tuesday.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Gopalganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
