9 promoted to secretaries

Nine acting secretaries were transferred and given promotion in a latest reshuffle in the administration yesterday, reports UNB.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a circular in this regard.

Those promoted are--Md Kaikobad Hossain, acting secretary of the Food Ministry, Anwarul Islam Shikdar, rector (acting secretary) of BCS Administration Academy, Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Munim, chairman (acting secretary) of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, Istiak Ahmed, acting secretary to the Environment and Forests Ministry, Alamgir, acting secretary of Technical and Madrasha Education Division, Subhasish Basu, acting secretary of Commerce Ministry, Kazi Shafiqul Azam, acting secretary of the Economic Relations Division, Mostafa Kamal Uddin, acting member (acting secretary) of the Planning Commission and Akhter Hossain Bhuiya, acting secretary of the Defence Ministry.
