MADRID, AGENCIES: Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro says Cristiano Ronaldo is ‘happy’ and wants to stay with the European champions despite his fall-out with the club this summer.

Ronaldo, 32, told Real chiefs that he wanted to leave in the current transfer window after being angered by his situation which included being charged over four counts of tax evasion.

But Casemiro says his colleague is still wanted in the Spanish capital and that he is happy to stick around too.

Asked whether he hoped Ronaldo would stay at Real, the Brazilian midfielder said: Of course, we want Cristiano to stay with us. He is the best in the world.

‘He is happy at Real Madrid and does not need to comment further.’

Casemiro has been back in Brazil during his summer break and considered what it would be like to play against Ronaldo were he to leave Real.

Manchester United were among his potential suitors and any indication that Ronaldo could be allowed to leave would spark a rush of interest clubs from across Europe.

Casemiro, for his part, hopes it is an issue he never has to deal with.

‘Playing against the best in the world is complicated, so I hope he does not leave,’ the midfielder said.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo has unveiled two sets of brand new crystal football boots to commemorate his time at Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Covered with Swarovski diamontes, the pair have taken pride of place in the Portugal star's CR7 museum in Madeira, Portugal.

Both sets are emblazoned with the Nike swoosh, however, one has the Premier League logo and the other has the words 'La Liga'.

The boots have been designed by crystal art brand T Daniel . And Ronaldo is not the first footballer to have received work from the designer.

Daniel Sturridge, Theo Walcott and Andy Carroll have all received crystal designed caps from the brand.

The Real Madrid star isn't alone in having a pair of crystal football boots, Didier Drogba also owns a custom pair.  Aking to Instagram, the designer captioned alongside the first pair: “Cristiano's boot in his Real Madrid colours featuring his no.7, his face and name in the CR7 museum in Madeira, alongside his 4th golden ball (Ballon d'or award).”

Alongside the second pair, T Daniel captioned: “Cristiano Ronaldo"s 2nd customised boot to commemorate his time playing in the Barclay's Premiership at Manchester United by @bytdaniel now on show at his museum.”

In another development it was learnt that Ronaldo is third highest-earning celebrity on Instagram, raking in an incredible £310,000 per post.

The Real Madrid star, who has 106 million followers, was placed behind Selena Gomez and Kim Kardashian in the list compiled by Hopper. The footballer has recently delighted fans with snaps of himself sunbathing and holding his newborn twins.

The babies – reportedly named Mateo and Eva – were born by a surrogate mum, The Sun’s previously revealed.

Ronaldo, who is dating Spanish beauty Georgina Rodriguez, is also dad to six-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, known as Cristianinho.

News of Ronaldo and Georgina’s relationship began to emerge in November last year when they were snapped walking around Disneyland Paris arm-in-arm.

Speculation has intensified that Rodriguez is pregnant with Ronaldo’s baby, with the most recent reports stating that she is five months pregnant.

The former Manchester United star was named as one of the highest-earning sports stars by Forbes last month.

It said Ronaldo earned £44million from Real Madrid in salary and bonuses and another £27m from sponsors.

The Portuguese star has deals with Nike, Tag Heuer, Herbalife, Abbott Labs and others.
