FIFA imposed a fine of 10,000 Swiss franc on Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) following its failure to pay the wages of Rene Koster, who worked as the deputy of the former national football team coach Lodewjk De Kuris.
The governing body of world football in a notice instructed on May 7 the BFF to clear Koster’s unpaid wages of 80,000 euros (approximately Taka 8.5 lakhs) as the Dutch man lodged a complain to FIFA after being sacked by the BFF after three months of his appointment off two years contract in October 2014.
BFF general secretary, Abu Nayeem Shohag agreed that they received a letter from the FIFA regarding payment within 30 days.
Shohag said that they received the letter from FIFA on the first day after the Eid vacation and they were trying to make an amicable solution with Koster about his outstanding salary.
