Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ershad has postponed the July 8 council meeting of the newly formed United National Alliance (UNA) considering inclement weather.
Sunil Shuvo Roy, press and political secretary to JP chairman, in a press release said Ershad took the decision to postpone the council meeting in consultation with the alliance leaders in the wake of incessant rains and inclement weather.
According to met office forecast, there is a possibility of rain till July 10 and that is why the meeting has been postponed in consultation with the alliance leaders, said the release.
The UNA was scheduled to hold the council meeting of the newly formed alliance at Suhrawardy Udyan on July 8. The alliance has also completed the preparation for the council.
Jatiya Party Secretary General and chief spokesman of the alliance ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader said the meeting will be held in a convenient time later on.
