Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources yesterday recommended holding an inter-ministerial meeting to find permanent solution of electricity problem, reports BSS.
The recommendation came from the 32nd meeting of the committee at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the capital, an official release said.
Members of the committee -- State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid, Md Abu Zahir, A F M Bahauddin (Nasim), A B M Ruhul Amin Howlader, among others, attended the meeting with its Chairman Md Tajul Islam in the chair.
The committee recommended also quick implementation of all steps taken to stop the misuse of condensate.
It also suggested for presenting the probe report relating on misuse of condensate in the next meeting.
The meeting also discussed rationality of increasing of gas price, present state of gas production and reserve, condition of sector-wise use of natural gas and distribution, fixing of price of LNG import and its process.
Concerned officials of the ministry and Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat were present on the occasion.
