Ambassador-designate of Armenia and High Commissioners-designate of Mauritius and South Africa to Bangladesh separately presented their credentials to President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Thursday, reports BSS.
All the non-resident envoys are Armen Martirosyan of Armenia, Jagdishwar Goburdhun of Mauritius and Robina Patricia Marks of South Africa. President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after presentation of the credentials.
Welcoming the envoys, President Hamid said Bangladesh's foreign policy attaches importance to bilateral and friendly relations with all, and hoped the bilateral relations with the countries will further be expanded during their assignments here.
The president stressed exchanging high-level visits with the three countries to Bangladesh aiming to enhance bilateral trade and businesses.
He briefed the envoys about country's overall progress, especially the one in ICT sector, and different initiatives taken by the government to build 'Sonar Bangla (Golden Bengal)' as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
