Two addl DIGs forced to retire

The government has sent two additional deputy inspector generals (DIGs) of police on forced retirement.

The additional DIGs-- Yeasmin Gafur, commandant of Special Branch Training School of Dhaka and Bakhtiar Alam, commandant of Sarda Police Academy in Rajshahi-- were sent on forced retirement as per the Public Servants (Retirement) Act-1974, said a home ministry circular issued on Sunday.

Deputy Secretary Elias Hossain of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs signed the circular.

According to the circular, the duo would enjoy all kinds of retirement facilities as per the rules.
