Law enforcers in separate drives arrested four operatives of the banned militant Islamist outfit ‘Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh’ (JMB) from Gazipur and Chapainawabganj districts yesterday, reports BSS.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-1) conducted a drive in Masterbari area in Gazipur Sadar upazila yesterday morning and arrested three JMB members, said Senior ASP of RAB-1 Muhit Kabir.
Besides, members of Detective Branch (DB) of police in a drive arrested a member of the banned Islamic militant outfit from Chama Mushribhuja village under Bholahat upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Tuesday night, said DB Inspector Mahbubul Alam.
The arrested person is M Royel, 35, son of Motlubur Rahman of the same area. Nine cases are pending against Royel with Nachole and Bholahat Police Stations, he said.
