Young singers Apu and Luipa will perform together for the first time in a live musical show titled ‘Asian Music’ tonight at 11pm on Asian TV. Anchored by Sumaiya Saki, Apu and Luipa will sing their original songs, besides rendering a few popular songs from Dhaka and Kolkata films. Apu will also perform several tracks from his latest album ‘Nibire Tumi Ami’, which was released on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.
Apu said about performing in the show, “This is for the first, Luipa and I will be live together in a musical show on the same channel. Luipa took lessons on music from my father for a while; for this reason, we have a fantastic understanding regarding music among us. Her singing style is wonderful. I hope that the audience will like both of our single and duet tracks.”
Luipa told, “As a singer, Apu is amazing. I will perform live at the same show with him—it’s a really a wonderful feeling for me. I hope we will be able to deliver a few wonderful songs to the audience.”
Produced by Tauhid Antu, throughout the entire show Apu and Luipa will be accompanied by Alamgir Hossain on octapad, Jobayer Pavel on saxophone and keyboard, Chanchal on guitar, Sumon Sikder on bass guitar and Anirban on tabla.
To note, Luipa is waiting for the release of her first solo album titled ‘Chhayabaji’, which is expected to hit audio market in the middle of this month. Kishor Das has worked on tune and music arrangement of the album. l
