Seminar on ‘media education’ today
The Department of Journalism and Media Studies of Manarat International University will organise a seminar on ‘effective teaching and learning strategies in media education and profession’ on its campus at Mirpur in the capital today, says a press release. Serajul Islam Bhuiyan, director, Department of Mass Communication, Kuwait University, will present keynote paper. Shaukat Mahmood, president of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), will be the chief guest.

DIU holds ‘data centre designing’ seminar
The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering of Daffodil International University (DIU) organised a seminar titled ‘data centre designing and career planning’ in the capital on Saturday, says a press release.
Debdulal Roy, Senior System Analyst (DGM), Information Systems Development Department of Bangladesh Bank and Secretary General, Bangladesh Computer Society was the keynote speaker. AKM Fazlul Haque, head, Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, presided over the seminar. The seminar broadly concentrated on the data centre designing and its various technologies, challenges and opportunities. The keynote speaker elaborately analyzed the different critical areas of technology with practical examples.
