Badal Roy, former national football star, who is now under treatment in Singapore, conveyed his great tribute to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her wholehearted assistance for the treatment in Singapore Hospital.
Badal Roy, who had his second successful surgery on Saturday midnight, which took two and half an hour time for replacement of his brain, got back his sense and told his wife to make it acknowledge his gratefulness to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through media.
According to message from Singapore, Madhury Roy, wife of Badal informed that when he (Badal) got back sense tears rolled down and was requesting me - “Please convey my thousands of ‘Pronam’ to our leader and ‘my mother Sheikh Hasina’, who just gave me the second life. Now I am alive only with the great help of Sheikh Hasina, leader of 160 million peoples of Bangladesh, I am grateful to her for lifelong.”
Badal Roy, who could not control his emotion said, “I will not able to reimburse such kind of great help in my rest of life time.”
Meanwhile, Badal Roy, who was admitted into Square Hospital in Dhaka at midnight on June 5 after a brain stroke and when his condition was deteriorating fast he was brought to Singapore by Air Ambulance for higher treatment and all was done with direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu, former national cricket star visited with his family to see Badal Roy yesterday.
