The broader DSEX index at DSE closed the day with 1.43 points down at 5654.62. The blue-chip DS30 also followed the same trend with 5.05 points down at 2078.76. But the Shariah DSES closed the day with 0.76 point up at 1297.51.
CSE also closed the first session of FY18 with downward trend as its major CASPI 14.71 points down at 17,501.99.
“Stocks finished the previous two sessions upward after the Eid-ul-Fitr vacation. So, the mixed performance yesterday is normal though it was the first session of FY18,” DSE Managing Director KAM Majedur Rahman told the news agency yesterday.
