JU to offer job for ACP Robiuls wife
The authorities of Jahangirnagar University (JU) have decided to offer a job to wife of slain Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Robiul Karim. Robiul was killed by the militants attack at Gulshan Holey Artisan bakery last year.
ACP Robiul was a 30th batch student of Bangla department of the university.
Quoting the JU Vice-chancellor, Public Relations Office of the university said, The university authorities have decided to stand beside of AC Robiuls family as Robiul was our glorious student. We will offer a job to the deceaseds wife following the universitys accustomed rules.
When contacted, JU Registrar Abu Bakr Siddique said We did not yet reach any conclusion for which post should offer for Robiuls wife. Discussion is going on in this regard.
Meanwhile, JU pays homage to the Gulshan militant attack victims.
RU gets new registrar
The authorities of Rajshahi University on Saturday appointed Professor Dr Md Abdul Bari of Islamic History and Culture department as the acting registrar for second times.
RU Vice-chancellor Professor Abdus Sobhan appointed him to the post on Saturday, said deputy registrar Md Mokhlesur Rahman.
He said Professor Dr Md Abdul Bari replaced Professor Entazul Haque of chemistry department of the university.
Professor Bari earlier served as the acting registrar at the university from March 2, 2009, to March 20, 2013. He also served as dean of the faculty, chairman of the department, hall provost and a syndicate member of the university.
