Rajshahi: A mobile court in Rajshahi has sentenced two persons to six months behind the bar each on charge of drinking alcohol. The convicts were identified as Headmaster Mohir Uddin, 40, and Raju, 20, reports BSS.
A police team conducted an anti-drug raid at different places under Tanore Upazila in the district on Saturday night and found them drinking liquor at Kashem Bazar area.
The team arrested them red-handed and picked them up to the police station, said Rejaul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Tanore Police Station.
Afterwards, they were produced before a mobile court. Based on circumstantial evidence, Executive Magistrate and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shawkat Ali found them guilty of the charge and handed down the aforesaid verdict.
