CHITTAGONG: Police arrested a Malaysian woman from Shah Amanat International Airport on Saturday night for not having valid documents, reports UNB.
Second officer Md Shafiqul Islam of the airport, said police arrested Nursufa, 23, when she was roaming at the airport at night.
She was first taken to Airport Police outpost and later handed over to Patenga Police Station.
However, the woman claimed than she came to Bangladesh five years ago following marriage with a Bangladeshi national hailing from Faridpur district.
She came to Patenga sea beach along with her husband and her husband fled away leaving her in the airport area.
Meanwhile, the woman has been produced before a court here on Sunday.
