Use of digital resource in varsities stresesed
An awareness workshop on digital resources organised by University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh was held at a hotel in the capital yesterday, says a press release. UGC Chairman Abdul Mannan was the chief guest while UGC Member Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah and Senior Operations Officer, World Bank Md Mokhlesur Rahman were the special guests. UGC Member Md Akhtar Hossain presided over the function. Md Korban Ali, project director (In-charge), Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP), delivered the welcome address and UGC Secretary Md Khaled gave the vote of thanks on the occasion. Vice-Chancellors and librarians of 41 member universities of UGC Digital Library participated in the workshop. UGC chairman in his speech stressed the need for promoting and expediting the use of digital resources among the students, teachers and researchers to enhance their skills to compete in the age of globalization.
