BCSIR scientist killed in road accident

RAJSHAHI: A scientist of Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) was killed in a road accident in Bidyadharpur Kalna Bridge area on Rajshahi-Naogaon highway in the district early yesterday. The scientist has been identified as Dr Monsur Rahman, 60, principal scientific officer of the local station of BSCIR. Officer-in-charge of Mohanpur Police Station SM Masud Parvez told journalists that the scientist and his driver Sharibat Ali met the tragic road accident around 6.30 am. He was heading towards his village home in Naogaon by his own car at that time. With grievous injuries he was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead.
