Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) reclaimed land from the clutches of the encroachers worth amounting to Tk 30 crores after conducting an eviction drive in Sadarghat area of the city yesterday. A mobile court led by CPA Executive Magistrate Abul Hashem conducted the four-hour long drive starting from 10am with the help of port security personnel and Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP). “An illegal truck terminal and about 40 illegal structures worth amounting to Tk 30 crores in Sadarghat area owned by CPA were evicted in the drive”, said Abul Hashem.
