Rangpur Divisional and District Food Inspectors Association observed six hours work abstention yesterday protesting the attack on three officials of the Mymensingh Central Food Godown recently. The members of the association held programme wearing black batch. The leaders of the association said the unknown assailants attacked manager, officials and technical food controller of Mymensingh Central Food Godown when they refused to meet up their demands. The speakers demanded the security of the food godowns, officials and the guards who protect the foodgrains of the government. The members of the association demanded immediate arrest of the attackers and their punishment. Mahamood Hasan, vice-president, divisional Food Inspector Association, Raich Uddin,Organising Secretary, DFIA, Khairul Alam, president and Anisul Islam, secretary of the Rangpur District Food Inspector Association spoke in the programme, among others.
