Workshop on �Digital Resources� today
An awareness workshop on Digital Resources organised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) will be held in the capital yesterday. UGC Chairman Abdul Mannan will be the chief guest while UGC member Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah and Senior Operations Officer, World Bank M Mokhlesur Rahman will be the special guests on the occasion. UGC Member M Akhtar Hossain will preside over the function to be held at Lakeshore Hotel. Vice-chancellors and librarians of member universities of UGC Digital Library (UDL) will participate in the workshop. Forty three member universities of UDL have been accessing 17500+ high scholarly electronic resources of 7 e-publishers at substantially lower rates of subscription as UDL has been offering subsidy on the subscription fee from the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project.
