Santal man found dead in Gaibandha

Gaibandha: A man of Santal community was found dead in a sugarcane field in Baghda Farm area of Gobindaganj upazila on Monday night, reports UNB.The details about the deceased could not be known immediately. Subrata, officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj Police Station, said local people spotted his body in the field around 11pm and informed police. Later, police recovered the body.Earlier on Sunday, a Santal man Shyamal Soren was killed and 30 others injured in a clash that ensued when a group of Santals protested the grabbing of their lands by some sugar mill workers with the help of police.
