For National Film Award winning melodious singer Kanak Chapa, today certainly is a special day as today the talented singer observes her birthday. Throughout her career, she has mesmerised the audience through lending her vocals in film songs. DhakaLive has news that the talented singer is planning to observe her birthday in an ordinary manner. Today at 12:30pm, Kanak Chapa and her husband, lyricist and music director Mainul Islam Khan will be appearing in the Channel i show ‘Taroka Kathan’, produced by Ananya Ruma.
Kanak Chapa recalled her special birthday moments and said, “My grandfather had three expense books and I took one of them from my grandmother. There I saw how he wrote about the birth of his third son, that is, my father. From there, I gathered my father’s date of birth and the year, something that my father did not know. About 15 years ago, on my birthday, my father wrote inch by inch on a paper that although I am his daughter, I am the one who discovered him by finding out the date and year of his birth. I will never forget those words.”
Regarding her birthday, she added, “If anyone forgets my birthday, I will not hold it against them. But I will wish in my mind that they do something or the other. If my husband gives me a single red rose on my birthday,I will be delighted at that gesture. However, the most memorable thing from this birthday is that my son gave his entire salary for the month to me. I kept that money very carefully and looked at it several times. It is his hard earned money. For a mother, this is extremely satisfying.”
For Kanak Chapa fans, there is a Facebook page titled ‘Amader Khelaghar School’. This school undertakes various social activities. The students gave her a sari and a plant as birthday gift. Kanak Chapa plans on wearing that particular sari to ‘Taroka Kathan’. Kanak Chapa will also be seen in the programme ‘Dhonnyabad’ which will be aired on the second day of Eid on ATN Bangla.
