Bus catches fire after cylinder blast

A bus was caught fire after its gas cylinder exploded in Barabari area on Dhaka –Mymensing highway under Gazipur city yesterday morning. However, no casualties were reported during the incident as the passengers managed to get down from the bus safely. Fire service and witnesses sources said a bus of ‘VIP Paribahan’ was going to Gazipur from Dhaka. While it was reached in Barabari area of Gazipur city around 7am yesterday, the gas cylinder of the bus was exploded suddenly and the bus was caught fire.  Meanwhile, all the passengers, including the driver of the bus, were able to get down from the bus. On information, a fire fighting unit of Tongi fire service rushed to the spot and doused the flame. But the bus was completely burnt and damaged in the fire.
