UNB

Madaripur: Two buses were damaged in separate incidents of fire at the Kawrakandi Ferry Terminal in Shibchar upazila from Thursday night yesterday morning, reports UNB. However, the reasons behind either fire could not be known immediately. Locals said a bus of ‘BMF Paribahan’ caught fire around 10am today, with the helper of the vehicle sleeping inside it. Sensing the heat of the fire, the helper woke up and caught the attention of locals. On information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the flame after two hours of frantic efforts. Earlier on Thursday night, another bus of the same transport company caught fire. However, workers were on hand to douse the flame immediately. Sub-inspector Nazrul Islam of Kawrakandi Police Booth said the reasons behind the mysterious incidents will be known after investigation.
