Ex-MP dies in Narsingdi

Major(Rtd)  Shamsul Huda Bachchu, also former member of parliament (MP), veteran freedom fighter and and ex-president of Narsingdi District Jatiya Party(Ershad), died of cardiac arrest at his Baniachal residence on Wednesday night. He was 73. He has left behind his wife, three daughters, two brothers and well wishers. His first namaz-e-janaza was held at South plaza of Parliament, which was attended by deputy speakers, ministers, members of parliament and politicians. After the Ashr prayers his second janaz was held at District Collectorate Eidgah Maidan. A large number of people, including politicians from ruling Awami League, BNP, JP, NAP and Jamat-e-Islam, businessmen, journalists took part in his janaza. He was buried with state honour at Gabtoli graveyard in Narsingdi town.
