Riaz to make comeback on screen this month

Fans, well wishers and colleagues of National Film Award winning actor Riaz will not forget the turbulent time last October when the actor suffered a heart attack while shooting for a film. To the great relief of all his well wishers, he recovered and has been on the road to recovery. Now it seems that road is leading to brighter days as the actor is once again making a comeback on the screen this month.
DhakaLive has news that on the occasion of the upcoming Valentine’s Day, the audience-admired actor will be appearing in a film titled ‘Sweetheart’, opposite Bidya Sinha Saha Mim and will be playing a pivotal role in it. The actor shared his thoughts regarding ‘Sweetheart’, “Making the comeback feels absolutely amazing.  Whatever the duration of my appearance is in the film, the viewers will see the old Riaz.”  ‘Sweetheart’ will be released on February 12.
On the other hand, the much-anticipated film ‘Krishnapakkha’, directed by Meher Afroz Shaon, will see its release on February 26. Based on the novel of the same name by legendary writer Humayun Ahmed, this is the same film where Riaz had a heart attack while shooting for it. Produced by Impress Telefilm, Riaz will be pairing up with  actress Mahi for the first time.
Regarding ‘‘Krishnapakkha’, Riaz said,”While shooting for it, I was really missing our legendary writer Humayun Ahmed. It did not seem that Meher Afroz Shaon is directing for the first time as it was such good work. I fully believe that the film will see success.”
In addition, Riaz has taken part in two tele-dramas for Valentine’s Day as well where he will be appearing alongside Moutushi Biswas and Suzanna. Riaz-Moutushi acted tele-drama is titled ‘Shesh Obhinoy’, directed by Tobarak Bhuiyan and Riaz-Suzanna tele-drama is titled ‘Exchange’, which will be aired on NTV on Valentine’s Day.
