Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) has taken a plan to set up 9.5 kilometers cable car network at the Naf Tourism Park in Jaliardwip under Cox’s Bazar district for making the park more attractive to tourists. To implement the plan, BEZA yesterday signed a consultancy agreement with the Chittagong Engineering and Technology University (CUET) at BEZA headquarters in the city.
BEZA General Manager Soheler Rahman Chowdhury and Director of CUET Bureau of Research Testing and Consultancy (BRTC) Dr M Tajul Islam signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
Principal Coordinator (SDG Affairs) of the Prime Minister Office (PMO) M Abul Kalam Azad and BEZA Executive Chairman Paban Chowdhury were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Abul Kalam Azad underscored the need for opening the Naf Tourism Park for the tourist as early as possible.
He said the installation of the cable cars will make the park more attractive to the tourist.
