Popular actor-director Mahfuz Ahmed is now more busy behind the camera than in front of it, as he is currently busy with the making of two new tele-dramas for the upcoming Eid. The two tele-dramas that he will be directing are ‘Tumi Amake Boloni’, written by Maruf Rehman, starring audience-admired actors Nobel and Aupi Karim, and ‘Batasher Manush’, written by Fidia Kamal, starring Afran Nisho and Shaila Sabi. The two tele-dramas will be produced in Mahfuz Ahmed’s own production house Banichitra.
The director informed that for the shooting of the tele-dramas, he will be busy from September 4 to 12. All the shooting will take place within Dhaka. He said, “Right at this moment, I steer away from acting as much as possible. Whenever Eid arrives, there are requests from various television channels which cannot be turned away. That is why I make the tele-dramas. Usually, I do not act in my own directorial works. Currently, I am truly enjoying and experiencing working behind the camera.”
The actor-director is also paying attention towards films, with the intention of directing a film next year. He said, “I have the desire to make an entertaining film, with a budget of Tk one crore. To note, Mahfuz Ahmed produced and acted in the film ‘Zero Degree’ , which was released earlier this year. Directed by Anamich Aich, popular actress Joya Ahsan and model Ruhi appeared in the film.
