Former BNP MP from Chuadanga-2 constituency and industrialist Md Mozammel Haque passed away at a hospital in the capital yesterday, reports UNB. He was 88
Mozammel who had long been suffering from kidney ailments, diabetics and high blood pressure breathed his last at United Hospital around 5pm, said his son Atiqul Haque Mithun.
He left behind wife, three sons, four daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Mozammel was elected MP from Chuadanga-2 constituency thrice from 1990 to 2001. He also was the President of Chuadanga BNP from 1990 to 2014.
He was the chairman of Tallu Spinning Mills, Mithun Knitting and Dying, and Radio Today, and Managing Director of Bangas Ltd until his death.
Mozammel will be buried at his family graveyard in Chuadanga by his mother's grave after his two sons arrive from abroad on today.
