Salman F Rahman made PM's new adviser

Eminent businessman of the country Salman F Rahman has been appointed as private sector development affairs adviser to Prime Minister and Awami Leahue President Sheikh Hasina.

The newly elected General Secretary of Awami League, Obaidul Quader, in a letter confirmed the news of the appointment on Sunday.

He is the Vice-Chairman of BEXIMCO Group - the largest private sector group in Bangladesh. He is also a pioneer in establishing a wide range of industries including textiles, trading, marine food, real estate development, hospitality, construction, information and communication technologies, media, ceramics, aviation, pharmaceuticals and energy.

He was the president of FBCCI, the apex organisation of businessmen of the country. He is associated with many social and charitable organisations.
