Leaders of the Bangladesh University Teachers' Association have joined the ongoing protest over the murder of Rajshahi University Professor Rezaul Karim Siddiqui.
The association leaders expressed solidarity with the protests, and demanded justice over the murder of the professor. They also threatened to hold tougher programmes if all the murderers are not arrested very soon. Last Monday, all public university teachers across the country went on strike for three hours over the same demand. Rezaul Karim Siddiqui, a professor of English, was brutally hacked to death as he was on his way to work in the morning of 23rd April. Rajshahi University teachers and students have been on protest ever since the killing.
